The North Cascades Chapter No. 115, located in Bellingham, Washington, is an affiliate of the national Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA) organization. AFWA is a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of opportunities for women in all fields of accounting. The national ASWA was founded in 1938 and has over 4,000 members throughout the United States.

Chartered in 1978, the North Cascades Chapter attracts women in all aspects of accounting, both certified and non-certified. All accounting professionals in Whatcom and Skagit Counties and their guests are welcome to attend our meetings and to join our organization.

The mission of the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance is to enable women in all fields of accounting to achieve their personal, professional, and economic potential, and to contribute to the future development of the profession.
