American Society of Women Accountants

    President's Message

Dear Member, Prospective Member, or Guest,

Thank you for your interest in our chapter of ASWA.  We, the leadership of this chapter, are committed to maximizing the value you gain from your membership and participation in our chapter.

Given the current economic uncertainty we believe that it is important that we maintain a strong, professional network and continue to support each other in our careers.  Similarly, as the recession bites into the lives of people, the need of and demand from our community for basic financial information is at its highest.  Our members are poised to meet this challenge and address our community need for financial education.

This administrative year we will have the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise with people in our community through a collaborative effort with the Bellingham YWCA.  It is with great conviction that we believe our goal and objectives for this July 2009 to June 2010 administrative year will serve you and our community well.

Furthermore, as you have come to expect we will continue to host speakers that provide timely professional information at our monthly dinner meetings.  Your Chapter Board is vigilant in providing you with an affordable venue that is conducive to our CPE presentations and your opportunities for networking.

Finally, if you are an individual please consider volunteering in our “financial literacy campaign” and if you are an organization looking for volunteers to teach financial literacy, please contact the YWCA “Financial Fitness Program” ywca@ywcabellingham.org .

If you have any questions or comments, please send us an email at president@aswa115.org.  Thank you for your interest and/or commitment to ASWA.
